Avalanche Canada forecasts moderate danger in the mountains east of Prince George
PRINCE GEORGE – Avalanche Canada has released a forecast for the next few days in the mountainous regions east of Prince George.
The current danger rating for avalanche activity is moderate. If you’re planning to venture into the backcountry, it’s important to note that the danger rating is low below the treeline and moderate in the Treeline and Alpine areas.
The data indicates an unstable snowpack in certain terrains. Therefore, it’s crucial to exercise caution, particularly in steep and unsupported terrain.
Additionally, be careful with sluffing on steep terrain, especially above cliffs and terrain traps.
