FrancoFun festival kicks off on Saturday
PRINCE GEORGE— The 39th annual FrancoFun winter festival begins this Saturday February 3.
The festival kicks off with a traditional Sugar shack at Ècole St. Mary’s School. There will be a brunch featuring a tourtière with a vegan option for the first time this year. This will be followed by traditional games music and a presentation of maple taffy on the snow.
Events will happen for the rest of the week. On Sunday, a Volleyball Tournament will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Ècole Franco-Nord School. Tuesday, will feature a Senior’s Lunch at Hotel Courtyard By Marriott at 11:00 a.m. An Intergenerational Cooking is planned for Wednesday followed by Abel Maxwell performing at schools until Friday.
On Saturday, February 10, Le Cercle des Canadiens Français de Prince George has partnered once again with the Coldsnap music festival to bring a cultural music crossover at the Knox Performance Centre. The night will feature the bands Oktopus and Abel Maxwell.
