Council gets update on downtown plan

PRINCE GEORGE – Council has received a report put together by the City in conjunction with Downtown Prince George and a third party consultant looking at what ails the downtown and what would make it better.

“I’m glad the report speaks to some of the challenges we have,” noted Councillor Kyle Sampson.

The report sets out a string of recommendations, including the concept of a connected downtown by “combining a streamlined and enhanced multi-modal transportation network,” and investing in active in urban plazas and an all-season urban experience.

Council has requested a report back at the end of the second quarter of this year.
