Cougars storm back with five-goal third period to defeat visiting Victoria

PRINCE GEORGE — There were no emergencies, but plenty of flashing red lights at CN Centre in Prince George Saturday night (Feb. 10).

The goal lights got a workout in the Cougars’ 9-6 win over the visiting Victoria Royals.

Trailing 5-4 heading into the third period, Prince George stormed back with five straight goals to secure the victory.

Zac Funk got the hat trick for the Cougars to reach 49 goals on the season, while Hunter Laing and Riley Heidt each had three-point nights.
