Cougars look for bigger things after clinching first BC Division title since 2017
PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Cougars hit the ice once again. The team has been incredible in the month of February only losing one game in regulation and is coming off a weekend that saw the Cougars clinch their first BC Division title since 2017. The team is currently on a nine-game point streak going 8-0-1.
Zac Funk also made history over the weekend, recording his eighth hat trick of the year and breaking the single-season goal record in Cougars franchise history. Passing Quinn Hancock’s record of 54 goals in a season.
Now the team must lock in for their final ten games. Despite having a favourable schedule Head Coach & GM Mark Lamb knows his team has to be prepared down the final stretch as every team the Cougars face will be behind them in the standings.
