Quince Street fire under investigation

PRINCE GEORGE — A fire on the 2200-block of Quince Street Friday caused $80,000 in damages.

The City of Prince George says the fire broke out at 4:16 p.m. at a duplex with Prince George Fire Rescue arriving to find half the duplex involved with heavy smoke and flames coming from the windows of the home.

Crews contained the fire to the involved half of the duplex, which also caused minor water damage to the uninvolved unit.

No one was injured and the cause is under investigation.
