Major Crime deployed to suspicious death in Prince George Rural

PRINCE GEORGE – The North District Major Crime Unit (NDMCU) has been deployed to a suspicious death outside the city limits of Prince George.
On Saturday (March 9), around 3 p.m., the Prince George RCMP responded to a report of a deceased person located on Salmon River Forrest Service Road in Prince George. Frontline officers attended the scene and located a deceased person just off the roadway.
According to a news release, NDMCU has taken conduct of the investigation and is working closely in partnership with the Prince George RCMP and the BC Coroners Service.
RCMP say the death appears to be an isolated incident and no potential danger to the public at this time. Still according to the release, people can expect to see an increase in police in the area for the next several days while the investigation continues.
