PRINCE GEORGE — A productive weekend by Prince George Spruce Kings forward Scott Cousins didn’t go unnoticed.

Cousins scored two goals and added two assists in two weekend games versus the visiting Merritt Centennials at Kopar Memorial Arena.

On Friday he scored two goals in the team’s 6-3 loss. Cousins scored once in the opening period and again in the third, but the Spruce Kings fell short.

The following night, the 2004-born forward netted a goal and a pair of helpers in Prince George’s 4-3 overtime win. With the score tied 0-0 in the second, Cousins registered two assists less than four minutes apart to help give the Spruce Kings a 2-0 lead. With his team down 3-2 in the third, he potted his ninth goal of the season to force overtime and setup the PG win.
