PLAYOFF PREVIEW

Cougars excited for Round 1 of WHL Playoffs

Mar 28, 2024 | 4:51 PM

PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Cougars are back in the post-season again. The team clinched the #1 seed in the Western Conference which means home-ice advantage throughout the WHL playoffs. With players so excited to play some hockey in front of sold-out CN Centre

Their opponent is the Spokane Chiefs. A team Prince George has seen four times this year and a team that has beaten the Cougars two out of those four times. Berkly Catton and Connor Roulette lead the way. Both players recorded over 100 points this year and are extremely dangerous with the puck on their stick

On the Cougars side, it’s been a historic year. Multiple records were broken, individual success, major contributions from rookies, and a 19-game point streak to close out the year. The team knows plenty of pressure will be on them to perform in the post-season, but have the mindset that none of those narratives matter once puck-drop comes.

The Cougars will be wearing their white jerseys to begin the series. With hope, the fans embrace the ‘White Out’ and come decked out in white gear.

Puck drop for Game One is at 7:00 Friday evening
