Cougars beat Spokane 3-2 for four game sweep

PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Cougars are headed to round two of the WHL playoffs.

This after they defeated the Spokane Chiefs Wednesday night 3-2 before 3,434 fans at Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena.

This marks the second consecutive season the Cougars have punched their ticket to round two, and just the second time in Prince George Cougar history that they have swept a playoff series.

Viliam Kmec, Koehn Ziemmer, and Zac Funk supplied the Cougar offence all finding the back of the net and Ty Young was terrific in goal, securing his first victory of the playoffs, making 30 saves.
