
Mark Lamb named WHL Coach of the Year
PRINCE GEORGE — Update: Just hours after being named WHL Coach of the Year, Mark Lamb has also won the Lloyd Saunders Trophy, given annually to the WHL Executive of the Year.
This is the first time Lamb has been awarded the trophy and its the first time a Cougars executive has won the award.
Lamb and his staff have worked together to build the team through the WHL Prospect’s Draft and have made some key acquisition through trades and free-agent signings.
Of the 25 players who appeared in at least one game for the Coguars this season, 17 were drafted by the Cougars under Lamb’s leadership.
