PGPL begins planting of Knowledge Garden
PRINCE GEORGE— This Wednesday, May 15, the Prince George Public Library (PGPL) will be joined by the City of Prince George gardeners for the annual planting of Knowledge Garden. They invite everyone to come between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. to ask question, watch professional gardeners at work, and learn how citizenship, food security, and beauty are entwined in this public space.
In addition, children will have the opportunity to get hands-on-learning when they plant their very own bush bean to bring hom.
Knowledge Garden is located by the Bob Harkins Branch of the PGPL. During the summer residents of Prince George can visit to see how the plants are growing and pick some fresh fruit and vegetables to bring home.
Gardening is a weather dependant activity. Dates may be subject to change. You can refer to the PGPL’s website for the most current information.
