Cops for Cancer to host Tour de North fundraiser this Friday

PRINCE GEORGE— Cops for Cancer has begun their fundraising journey to raise money for pediatric cancer research and support services at the Canadian Cancer Society. Once again the Prince George RCMP will be hosting riders on the Tour de North, an 850 km cycle of Northern B.C. which takes seven days to complete.
Corporal Meghan Driscoll will be riding for Prince George in this years tour. the 20-year member of the mounties is excited for the opportunity to bring awareness to this annual event and is hoping to exceed her goal of raising $3,000.
Driscoll and two other Prince George cyclists will be hosting a Pub Night at the Canadian Brewhouse on May 24 at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are $35 and include a burger and a beverage. In addition, the police will be holding a silent auction and a 50/50 draw.
Tickets are available at the Prince George RCMP Detachment at 455 Victoria Street. RCMP can only accept cash and are unable to make change.
