PRINCE GEORGE— The Prince George Humane Society received a litter of puppies last tuesday and are looking for people to adopt them. Despite growing up in a remote community and living outside they are warming up to people and are learning to be on their best behaviour.

Kelsey MacNeil a register vet tech for the PG Humane society that puppies learn the most about the world in their first sixteen weeks making it the most important time to socialize.

“At this age, it’s mostly just having lots of positive interaction with people,” explains Kelsey. “As they get a little bit older, take them for walks and for car rides and just getting them used to things that they may not have experienced before. And making sure they’re having fun while doing it.”

These puppies are expected to grow up to be fairly large dogs. Ensure you have the space for one before adopting. If you would like to adopt any of the puppies visit the PG Humane Society and fill out an application.
