Jun 19, 2024 | 11:35 AM

NORTHERN B.C.— Over the past few weeks, RCMP have received reports of several pride banners, that hang on Vanderhoof light poles, have been vandalized, costing the city several thousands of dollars in damage.

In hopes of finding those responsible mounties have released footage of an individual climbing a ladder where one of the “Share the Love” banners was placed. While the video doesn’t capture the damage being done to the banner, officers would like to speak with the individual shown in the video.

Police note that the vehicle in the video is unrelated to the investigation. They add that they are actively investigating the incidents and are calling on everyone to help solve the crimes.

If you have any information you are asked to contact the Vanderhoof RCMP at 250-567-2222 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
