PG Hospice Society offering activity programs

PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George Hospice Palliative Care Society s delighted to invite you to learn about our new Rec Room Programs, furthering our commitment to expanding hospice services for the community.

This new addition aligns with our strategic goal of creating a space for individuals with life-limiting illnesses, their caregivers, and those grieving.

The Rec Room is dedicated to promoting healing and wellness through meaningful connections and tangible support.

Programs Offered:

Woodworking Though It: Participants share experiences while creating and building wood projects.

Art Hive: A space for people to come together through art and creativity.

The Mourning Journal: A reflective writing space promoting self-healing.

Self-Defense: A program for parents and children to learn communication and self-expression through empowerment.

Soundsation: A 6week program using sound and music to foster a sense of wellness and healing.

Drop-In Games Day: Come on in and hang out. We will have games and coffee etc. available.

All programs are supported by community members who generously contribute their talents and creativity. Alongside hospice staff, they create a safe space for communal healing.

The Rec Room will serve as a dynamic space for local organizations, fostering engagement and socialization through activities such as art and craft workshops, pottery, puzzles, painting, and leatherworking. PGHPCS aims to make the Rec Room accessible to all who seek a safe place to heal.
