Rollover claims a life on Highway 97 near McLeod Lake

MCLEOD LAKE — One person is dead following a single-vehicle crash on Highway 97 near McLeod Lake on Monday (July 1).
Mackenzie RCMP received the report of the accident shortly after 12 p.m. and say a southbound pickup truck apparently left the roadway, impacted the gravel shoulder and overturned.
“The driver was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. No one else was injured in the crash. Causal factors are not yet known and the investigation remains ongoing,” add police.
