PRINCE GEORGE—AiMHi has announced it will be expanding it’s service to Smithers through the takeover of the Gorbahn Professional Alternative Resources (GPAR) services. AiMHi will now be operating three houses, supporting eight individuals, and employing 22 former GPAR employees.

AiMHi says that this expansion marks it’s 67 years of providing service to Prince George. Adding that through extending their reach to Smither it will allow them to bring their person-centered approach and commitment to supporting individuals in the community.

“We are honored to extend our services to Smithers,” said Mark Zuberbuhler, CEO of AiMHi. “This expansion not only broadens our impact but also reinforces our dedication to strengthening communities and supporting individuals in leading fulfilling lives. We are excited about the opportunities this brings and look forward to working closely with our new team members and the Smithers community.”

GPAR helps provide social services to Smithers and the retiring owner chose to hand the reigns over to AiMHi. AiMHi says that by integrating GPAR services into their model they will be able to provide the same level of care, respect, and excellence to Smithers as they provide to Prince George.
