Community Art Days Return this Friday

PRINCE GEORGE—Two River’s Gallery and BMO are partnering together for the return of the BMO Community Art Days. The free, all-ages event will take place on July 12 and July 13 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. outside the Two Rivers gallery in Canada games Plaza.

The days will include family-friendly activities, workshops, performances, community partners and food trucks with this years theme being ‘Archival Renewal’. In addition there will be two artist-in-residence. The first is local artist Adam Ross who does live painting demos in the style of Bob Ross. The second is Vancouver-based printmaker and comics artist Tajliya Jamal who is inviting everyone to create a collaborative art piece utilizing archival family photos, and memories of Prince George.

Fan-favourite activities will return including Citizen Pong. Attendees can freely play on ping pong tables designed by local artists.

Each day will feature a diverse group of local performers programmed by Inspire Productions. This includes Khast’an Drummers, Phat Funk, Colin & Kiziah, Genevieve Jaide, DJ Smashley, Grace Hoksbergen, YXS, DJ Nige, Inspire and Andy Heywood.
