5×5 Basketball team preps for BC Summer Games in Maple Ridge

PRINCE GEORGE — The BC Summer Games are set to kick off this weekend in Maple Ridge. Athletes from around the region are preparing for the games including the U14 Girls five-on-five basketball team. The team had one more practice at the PG Roll-A-Dome and now takes off Wednesday morning

One of the girls traveling with the team is Cadence Hooft. A recent recipient of a BC Games Leadership Bursary. Her hard work both on and off the court made her only one of 16 chosen for the award. Now she’s just days away from competing on one of the biggest stages with her teammates.
