Pitka Creek evacuation alert lifted

FORT ST JAMES — The Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako and the Nak’azdli Whuten have lifted the Pitka Creek evacuation alert.

The lightning-caused 147 hectare fire was discovered on July 19 and is now classified as “being held.”

A total of 548 properties were affected by the alert. See the map below:
