Annual 4-H Show & Sale this weekend in Quesnel

QUESNEL — Alex Fraser Park in the Agriculture Events Centre is the place to be this weekend for the annual Quesnel 4-H Show and Sale.

It goes from August 9-11 and is the culmination of the members’ hard work throughout the year, and is also an opportunity for its youth members to showcase their projects.

Organizers say the annual auction begins at 1 p.m. on Sunday, where you can bid on some of the finest beef, pork or lamb in the Cariboo.There will also be chickens and turkeys on offer as well as other items like honey, quilts, photography and woodworking items.

They add that the 4-H program provides young people with an opportunity to learn how to become productive, self-assured adults who can make their community and country a good place in which to live.
