PRINCE GEORGE — Forty-thousand dollars worth of equipment was stolen from a trailer outside the Ferndale Tabor Volunteer Fire Department at 16315 Giscome Road Wednesday morning (Aug.21).

Fire Chief Bryant Kemble says the theft occurred at about 4:30 a.m. with two suspects spotted on camera though he says the quality of the footage makes them unrecognizable.

He says four pumps and one chainsaw were taken noting the pumps are used to protect homes from wildfires.

Kembel hopes the equipment will be covered by insurance but notes it would take at least three months to order replacements. If you have any information, call police.
