Planned power outage in Prince George to affect thousands of BC Hydro customers

PRINCE GEORGE — BC Hydro says there are two planned power outages beginning Thursday (Aug.22) in Prince George.

One is an overnight outage covering much of the VLA from 8 p.m. Thursday night (Aug.22) until 6 a.m. Friday morning (Aug.23) while another outage in the bowl will run from 8 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Thursday (Aug.22) and again from 5:30 a.m. until 6 a.m. Friday morning (Aug.23).

BC Hydro says over 8,000 customers will be affected adding the purpose of the outage is to work on its equipment.
