Pickup driver injured in two-vehicle crash on Highway 97 and Hill Road

CARIBOO — Traffic was snarled on Highway 97 earlier Monday (Aug.26) following a two-vehicle crash south of Quesnel.

North District RCMP say the crash was reported at 10:06 a.m. on Highway 97 and Hill Road.

“The collision occurred when a pickup truck rear ended a commercial vehicle. While injuries were reported on the driver of the pickup, I have no details on the extent of injuries,” says Cpl. Madonna Saunderson.

The crash blocked the highway for at least a couple of hours but according to Drive BC, the highway appears to have fully reopened.
