Huble Homestead to host Potato Festival this weekend
PRINCE GEORGE — Huble Homestead Historic Site hosts the Potato Festival this Sunday and Monday, September 1 and 2.
There will be nine varieties of heirloom potatoes that have been growing on site in the Huble garden all summer long. They will range from the hard-to-get Haida and Cariboo “outlaw” potatoes to the less-notable Irish Cobbler and Green Mountain. The weekend will also feature a “tater theme” with activities such as the “dress your spud” contest, and tuber themed games like hot potato and sack races.
