Aug 30, 2024 | 12:51 PM

PRINCE GEORGE — Northern MLA and Minister of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship Nathan Cullen has weighed in on the collapse of BC United this week.

He admits he’s never quite seen anything like it – adding it provides voters with a clear choice come this fall’s election.

“I feel for my former colleagues, Shirley Bond and others. It must feel like the rug just got completely pulled out from under them. I would say if I think about, the general election, I’m in Skeena here today, and Terrace, there is a strong sense of clarity that you have a very, clear choice, and that the, conservatives are, as Kevin Falcon said, have some pretty extreme candidates with very extreme and conspiratorial views. On the other side, you have the NDP. So for me, I like clear choices. This is going to be an election that will have some very clear choices for British Columbians.” – MLA Nathan Cullen

Minister of Emergency Management and Climate Readiness and NDP MLA for North-Vancouver Lonsdale, took to social media platform X, to pay tribute to MLA Shirley Bond, who announced on Thursday, that she was withdrawing from the upcoming provincial election. Ma said that “Falcon and Rustad tossed her aside without so much as a handshake so they could seize power through a backroom deal. She deserved better.”
