PRINCE GEORGE — Rachael Weber has confirmed she has been replaced as the Conservative Party of BC candidate in the Prince George-Mackenzie riding.

She confirmed the news in a social media post Monday evening (Sept.2). In the post, she said she was “saddened” by it as she considers herself “a steadfast supporter of the Conservative principles and goals.”

“Unfortunately, during my tenure, a few individuals resorted to misleading tactics, misrepresenting my intentions, and casting doubts on my character. It is disheartening that these actions have overshadowed the genuine passion and commitment I brought to my role. If given the opportunity, I believe those who engage with me directly would recognize the sincerity of my efforts and the depth of my dedication and heart. Not the lies that the media have helped spread,” said Weber.

Despite being ousted as candidate, she says she’s seriously considering running as an independent. Weber was first nominated as the party’s candidate back in August 2023.
