CNC welcomes its newest students during orientation week

PRINCE GEORGE— It is orientation week at the College of New Caledonia as student get ready for their fall classes.

This is a chance for new and returning students to meet the staff and faculty at CNC, explore the campus, make friends and learn about the supports that to college offers. While some students are local to the Prince George area, CNC sees a large quantity of international students and they say their goal is to make all of their students ready for the academic year.

“We’re having a special orientation this afternoon at 3:00 p.m. for new international students. We do a lot of events with the International Office and Student Services and the Student Union. We’re available, we’re accessible, we’re here to help,” says Shelley Carter-Rose, Vice President of student affair at CNC.

Shelley adds that the entire community of Prince George is very welcoming to the new students as many rent off campus. She adds “We have a lot of students that work in Prince George, and they build friendships and relationships within our community.”

CNC orientation ends on September 6, 2024.
