PRINCE GEORGE— This Saturday (Sept. 7) at 11:30 a.m. the Prince George Parkinson Support Group will be hosting their annual Parkison Superwalk. The walk will be held at Lheidli T’enneh memorial park with donations going towards Parkinson Society British Columbia’s programs, support services, and research.

Parkison Superwalks take place in over 20 communities across B.C., giving hope to approximately 17,500 residents living with Parkinson’s disease.

“Parkinson SuperWalk is meant to bring together people across the province to celebrate victories of the Parkinson’s community, big and small,” says Joanne Baker, CEO of Parkinson Society of British Columbia. : Together, we empower one another through information sharing and stories of strength and resilience. It’s more than a fundraising event; it’s about community building, camaraderie, and commitment to a future where those diagnosed with Pakinson’s can live well, with the ultimate hope of finding a cure.”
