Evacuation alert issued by Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako

The Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako has issued an evacuation alert by recommendation of the BC Wildfire Service.

Due to potential danger to life and health, all lands and properties accessed by Ootsa Nadina Road and local roads south and east of the Rainbow Lake recreation site and west of Skins Lake and the spillway have been placed on alert.

Included in the alert are properties accessed by Keefes Landing Road (within one kilometre of Steinhoff Road) and Eakins Settlement Road (within one kilometre of Spud Lake Road).

The alert has been issued to prepare residents to evacuate premises and properties should it be deemed necessary.

Residents will be given as much advance notice as possible prior to evacuation, but may receive limited notice due to changing conditions.
