Spruce Kings open pre-season with OT win

COQUITLAM — Brogan McNeil scored the overtime winner for the Prince George Spruce Kings in a 3-2 victory over the Coquitlam Express in BC Hockey League pre-season action on Friday (Sept. 6) on the Lower Mainland.

McNeil had two goals and Antonio Bevacqua tallied once for Prince George in support of netminders Ryder Green and Andrik Lygas, who split time between the pipes.

Green stopped 21 shots in 40 minutes of action before Lygas took over and allowed one goal on six shots.

The Surrey Eagles are scheduled to host Prince George on Saturday.
