Cougars fall to visiting Blazers in pre-season action

PRINCE GEORGE — Andrew Thomson scored the game-winning goal in the second period for the Kamloops Blazers in a 2-1 victory over the Prince George Cougars in WHL pre-season action on Friday (Sept. 13) at Sandman Centre.

Matteo Koci also scored or the Blazers in support of goaltender Dylan Ernst, who stopped 22 shots to pick up the victory between the pipes.

Jett Lajoie scored for the Cougars, whose neminder, Brady Holtvogt, made 36 saves in a losing effort.

Kamloops improved its pre-season record to two wins and one overtime defeat, while Prince George remains winless at 0-3.
