WolfPack topple Timberwolves in Prince George
PRINCE GEORGE — Berea Woldeyes lifted her TRU WolfPack to victory over the UNBC Timberwolves in Canada West women’s soccer action on Friday (Sept. 13) in Prince George, unleashing a long-range beezer in the 79th minute to give her club a 2-1 win.
Rookie Sophia Branby registered her first goal for the Pack, whose goalkeeper Cassanda De Amaral made one save to pick up the victory between the pipes.
Kate Rattee tallied for the Timberwolves in support of goalkeeper Lauren Gubbels, who stopped seven shots in a losing effort.
TRU improved to 2-2 ahead of its clash with the league-leading UBC Thunderbirds (3-0) on Sunday in Vancouver.
