QUESNEL, B.C. — Logan Edmonstone went the distance between the pipes for the Kamloops Blazers in a 3-1 victory over the Prince George Cougars in WHL pre-season action on Saturday (Sept. 14) in Quesnel.

He stopped 15 shots and had goal-scoring support from Zach Pantelakis, Hudson Closson and Tommy Lafreniere, whose empty-net marker marked his fourth goal and eighth point in four pre-season games.

Evan Groening tallied for the Cougars in support of netminder Joshua Ravensbergen, who made 23 saves in a losing effort.

The Blazers posted three wins and one overtime loss in the pre-season and will begin the regular season on Friday (Sept. 20), when the Portland Winterhawks come to town for a 7 p.m. start at Sandman Centre.
