Spruce Kings finish pre-season on high note

PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Spruce Kings finished their pre-season B.C. Hockey League schedule with a 3-1 victory over the Langley Rivermen on Saturday (Sept. 14) at Kopar Memorial Arena.

Ryan Wachtel, Cooper Williams and Brogan McNeil scored for the Spruce Kings in support of goaltender Ryder Green, who stopped 22 shots to pick up the win between the pipes.

Prince George posted a 2-2 record in the pre-season and will open the regular season on Friday (Sept. 20) in South Surrey, where they will square off against the Surrey Eagles.
