Evacuation alerts lifted for Sabina Lake and Mount Wells wildfires

NORTHERN B.C. — The Regional District of Bulkley Nechako has lifted two evacuation alerts.
The first is for the out-of-control Sabina Lake wildfire first issued on September 5, 2024. A total of 39 properties were affected by the alert. The lightning-caused fire is over 55,000 hectares in size.
Map courtesy: RDBNThe second alert is for the Mount Wells wildfire where 88 properties were affected. The over 14,000 hectare fire was also caused by lightning and is classified as out-of-control.
