Spruce Kings top Chiefs in OT, aim for perfect start to season Sunday in Langley

CHILLIWACK, B.C. — Maks Percic scored in overtime to give his Prince George Spruce Kings a 3-2 victory over the hometown Chilliwack Chiefs on Saturday (Sept. 22) in B.C. Hockey League action.
Cooper Williams and Vital Dinis also scored for the Spruce Kings (2-0) in support of goaltender Ryder Green, who made 40 saves to pick up the victory between the pipes.
Mateo Mrsic and Nathan Morin scored for the Chiefs (0-1-1-0), with goaltender Sebastian Gatto stopping 13 shots in a losing effort.
Prince George, which opened the season on Friday with a 4-1 win over the Eagles (0-1) in South Surrey, will cap the weekend with a game against the Rivermen (0-0) on Sunday in Langley.
