Suspicious fire on Quince Street

PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George Fire Rescue responded to a house fire Friday night (Sept.27) in Prince George.
RCMP say emergency services responded to the blaze in the 2000-block of Quince Street at approximately 9:20 p.m.
“Frontline officers arrived within minutes and observed flames coming out of the residence. Officers assisted in evacuating nearby residences and obtained statements from witnesses on scene,” says Cpl. Sonja Blom. “Once the fire was extinguished, a deceased person was located inside the home.”
She says the cause of the fire is under investigation and as a result the scene has been secured.
