Eagles clip Spruce Kings with late winner in Prince George; rematch Saturday

PRINCE GEORGE — Ryan Evenhuis scored late in the third period to lift his Surrey Eagles to a 5-4 victory over the Prince George Spruce Kings in B.C. Hockey League play on Friday (Oct. 4) at Kopar Memorial Arena.

Ethan Montroy, Skogen Schrott, Kazumo Sasaki and Lucas Veilleux tallied for Prince George in support of goaltender Carter Wishart, who made 29 saves in a losing effort.

The Spruce Kings dropped to 2-4, while the Eagles improved to 3-3.

The rematch is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Saturday at Kopar Memorial Arena.
