PRINCE GEORGE— The Prince George Spruce Kings snapped their four-game losing streak, winning 6-3 Saturday night against the Surrey Eagles.

The Kings took an early two goal lead at Kopar Memorial Arena, thanks to recently acquired forward Ethan Montroy scoring both in the first period.

Despite allowing the Eagles to tie the game up at two after two periods, the Spruce Kings exploded offensively in the third.

Montroy completed the hat trick to spur on four unanswered goals and lead Prince George to a 6-3 victory over the reigning Fred Page Cup Champions.

The Ottawa native finished with six points in his first weekend with the team while Carter Wishart played outstanding between the pipes stopping 51 of 54 Eagles shots on the night.

The Kings improve to 3-4-0 on the season as they head on the road for their next four games starting with the Okotoks Oilers on Friday.
