Hat-trick from Heidt helps Cats vanquish Raiders

PRINCE GEORGE — Riley Heidt paced the Prince George Cougars to victory on Saturday (Oct. 12), scoring a hat-trick in a 5-4 victory over the Prince Albert Raiders at CN Centre.

Borya Valis and Bauer Dumanski also had goals for the Cats, with Joshua Ravensbergen making 15 saves to pick up the victory between the pipes.

Doogan Pederson, Aiden Oiring, Niall Crocker and Brayden Dube scored for the Raiders (1-4-2-0), whose goaltender, Max Hildebrand, made 29 saves in a losing effort.

Prince George (5-2-2-1) is scheduled to square off against the Calgary Hitmen (2-4-0-0) at noon on Monday (Oct. 14).
