Hart Bridge on track to reopen on October 25

PRINCE GEORGE— The City of Prince George has released footage of the ongoing work of the sewer line upgrade on John Hart Bridge. The project began in September after a waterwater line underneath the bridge began leaking.

The City of Prince George also confirmed that they expect to reopen the bridge to traffic in both directions on Friday morning. However, they note their will still be some single lane closures for the next few weeks after while crews work on the shoulder. In addition they say there will be the odd closure and some maintenance work at the south end of the bridge.

The project is expected to be fully completed by late February 2025. The cost of the project is set at $6,791,978.
