Heidt tallies five points for Cougars in victory over visiting Royals

PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George Cougars’ captain Riley Heidt racked up five points, including four assists and an empty-net marker, in a 6-3 victory over the Victoria Royals on Friday (Oct. 25) at CN Centre.
Koehn Ziemmer tallied twice and Borya Valis, Viliam Kmec and Terik Parascak added singles for the Cougars (7-4-2-1), whose goaltender, Joshua Ravensbergen, stopped 34 shots to pick up the victory between the pipes.
Justin Kipkie, Reggie Newman and Markus Loponen scored for Victoria (7-3-1-1) in support of netminder Jayden Kraus, who made 36 saves in a losing effort.
The B.C. Division rematch is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Saturday at CN Centre.
