City wants feedback on draft OCP

Nov 1, 2024 | 11:04 AM

PRINCE GEORGE — The City of Prince George is inviting residents to provide final feedback on the draft Official Community Plan or OCP.

Residents are encouraged to read the draft OCP in its entirety before providing feedback, as it presents a comprehensive framework that integrates all policies and goals cohesively. In this final phase launching this week, the City will release the draft OCP for public review, refine it based on public input, and prepare it for council consideration in early 2025.

The City says:

“The OCP is the product of an extensive 18-month planning process, including thorough research, technical analysis, and input from residents, landowners, business owners, and community organizations across the city.”

Council’s review of the final OCP will be a public process, offering further opportunities for residents to share their thoughts directly with council members.

Residents are invited to meet the planning team in person, learn more about the draft OCP, take the survey and provide feedback at the following sessions:

  • November 13 & November 20: Pine Centre Mall, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
