RCMP investigating shooting death on Victoria Street

PRINCE GEORGE — One person is dead following a shooting on the 1500-block of Victoria Street.

Prince George RCMP say the shooting occurred at 11:45 p.m. on Wednesday night (November 6).

RCMP say officers immediately attended the location and began a search for the suspect, who remains missing. Investigators are asking that anyone who was in the area between 11:35 p.m. and 11:50 p.m. and may have dash camera footage, cell phone video or video surveillance from that area, to speak with a police officer.

“This appears to be a targeted attack; however, the investigation is at its preliminary stages and we continue to gather evidence. We ask that anyone who has information that may aid in this investigation, to contact a police officer by calling the Prince George RCMP non-emergency number at 250-561-3300,” states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.

The investigation is ongoing.
