City proclaims Nov. 13 to 20, Inspiring Women Among Us week

PRINCE GEORGE — November 13-20 has been proclaimed Inspiring Women Among Us Week in Prince George.

Inspiring Women Among Us (IWAU) is an initiative based out of UNBC that aims to extend community-based discussions and actions with the goal of reducing violence against women and improving gender relations.

IWAU 2024 is a weeklong event honouring women and other under-represented leaders in society. The activities, workshops and gatherings provide inclusive and welcoming opportunities for all genders to come together to listen, learn and share.

This year’s theme is Caring in the Time of Polycrisis and includes two dozen free events thanks to multiple community partners and sponsors such as the City of Prince George.
