PRINCE GEORGE—The Prince George Humane Society has gone to the dogs. With a litter of puppies the society is calling on any dog-lovers to stop by and adopt.

“They are shepherd mix,” says Kelsey MacNeil, a Registered Vet Tech at the PG Humane Society. “We were told shepherd and healer, there’s probably something else mixed in there. We’re expecting them to be, between a 60 and 80 pounds, and we’re just calling them big old mutts.”

These pups aren’t fully 16 weeks old and will require some extra socialization. However, being rescues they have a head start on the process already.

“They were in foster homes with kids,” notes MacNeil. “So, we know that they’ve had really good socialization so far with kids and other animals. But bringing your bringing a puppy into your home is like bringing a baby in. You’ve got to be prepared for the exercise and the training that’s required, but we promise that it is absolutely worth the effort.”

These puppies are available now at the PG Humane Society.
