PRINCE GEORGE β€” It’s shaping up to be another snowy day in Prince George and area, which still remains under a snowfall warning as the calender flips over to December.

Environment Canada is calling for another 5 centimetres of snow Sunday (Dec. 1), with the risk of freezing rain possible in the overnight hours tonight, potentially making for a messy Monday morning commute.

Temperatures are expected to hover around -3 C, with wind chill values of -16 C this morning and -8 C this afternoon.

The weather agency is calling for milder temperatures on Monday – a forecast high of 4 C – but precipitation is expected to fall in the form of rain or more freezing rain, depending on how far north you are.

Rain is also expected to fall in the Prince George area on Tuesday, with the daytime high expected to be around 4 C once again.

As of publishing, a snowfall warning remains in effect for Pine Pass and for Stuart-Nechako, Quesnel (especially near the Cariboo Mountains), McGregor and Williston.
