Saturday night fire on Freeman Street causes $200,000 in damage
PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George Fire Rescue crews from three halls responded to a structure fire in the 300 block of Freeman Street on Saturday, December 7.
In a news release from the City, crews responded at approximately 11:00pm and upon arrival “firefighters found heavy brown smoke issuing from the roofline and flames exiting from a rear bedroom window of a single, family residence.”
The fire was quickly extinguished, but the resulting damage to the residence is estimated to be around $200,000.
There were no injuries to firefighters or residents of the home and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
